Therapy Paws is a team of trained canine-volunteer handlers who aim to provide youth across Missouri comfort and safety as they face life’s uncertainties. The handlers and their highly trained, loving dogs encourage a feeling of security for traumatized and stressed children. At the beginning of this mission lies Olive, a poodle mix rescue from Los Angeles. Olive would visit children of different needs and circumstances as they journey through the court system. Now, Therapy Paws consists of 23 certified handlers and therapy dogs who volunteer in multiple counties in Missouri.
Olive also has a book! Olive: She’s All Love follows Olive in her journey to find her forever home and purpose as a therapy dog.
Whether you’re interested in helping out, know someone in need of assistance, looking to complete certified therapy dog training, or want to learn more about Olive, you can visit the Therapy Paws website at https://www.therapypaws.org/
