In Missouri there is a unique partnership between local citizens, business leaders and government that was born out of the concern to help improve the lives of Missouri’s children and families, it’s called FACT- Family and Community Trust.
FACT is a non-profit corporation that assists 20 well-respected community partnerships across the state. Each partnership works within their community to identify and develop solutions to overcome challenges such as…. homelessness, drug abuse, teen pregnancy, child abuse, after school care, dental care and many others.
The Family and Community Trust (FACT) celebrated its 20th Anniversary in 2013. FACT was established as an organization in November of 1993 by an Executive Order of the Governor.
The 20 Community Partnerships have generated 300,235 hours of volunteer service across the state of Missouri for the year. This amazing achievement speaks to their effectiveness to engage local communities in their work.
The Board of Directors of FACT will meet on the following dates in 2014: Spring Meeting: March 27th & 28th, Summer Meeting: June 26th & 27th, Fall Meeting: September 25th & 26th and Winter Meeting: December 11th & 12th. Board meetings are held in Columbia, Missouri.
