WILLIAM DENT
BIO:
William Dent is the Executive Director of The Family and Community Trust (FACT) in Jefferson City, Missouri, a position he has held since 2015. In his role, Bill leads a private/public board of 21 members, guiding the efforts of 20 Community Partnerships throughout Missouri to enhance the lives of children and families.
Under his stewardship, FACT has grown from a modest organization into a significant force with over a $5 million budget and a dedicated team of six. Bill’s leadership also elevated FACT to become the Annie E. Casey Kids Count affiliate and the No Kid Hungry organization serving Missouri.
Prior to his role at FACT, Bill had a distinguished three-decade career in public service, contributing to the departments of Labor, Economic Development, and Social Services. He began his professional journey as an ordained minister, serving in two of the largest parishes in the Diocese of Jefferson City. He left the active ministry in 1988 and pursued public service.
Bill holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Conception College and a Masters of Divinity in Theology and Philosophy from Kenrick Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Karen, make their home in Holts Summit.
